Property People: Partner hire for Knight Frank; Trio of appointments for Eaton Smith; Allsop boosts residential investment and development team

PROPERTY consultancy Knight Frank has strengthened its industrial property team in Yorkshire with the appointment of Iain McPhail as partner.

Mr McPhail joins Knight Frank following 10 years with Bilfinger GVA in Leeds.

He specialises in the disposal and acquisition of industrial, distribution and trade counter space, as well as commercial development opportunities in the Yorkshire region.

He has advised a range of national and local developers, property companies and corporate funds, such as CBRE Global Investors, Infrared Property Partners, Marcol Group, Keyland, St Modwen, M7, IPIF, Gregory Property Group, Onward Holdings, ATC Properties and Towngate and Travis Perkins Properties.

He said: “It is an extremely exciting time to be joining Knight Frank’s strong and experienced Yorkshire industrial team, as we are involved with some of the most high-profile buildings and development schemes in the region.

Eaton Smith property teamEATON SMITH has boosted its commercial and residential property teams with three appointments.

Brandon Titterington joined Eaton Smith in June and has a wealth of experience in a broad range of commercial property transactions gained over 25 years of advising both in the private client and in-house corporate sectors.

The team has been further strengthened by the arrival of John Woodhead, a commercial property solicitor who has 20 years’ experience in commercial property gained within the banking sector.

Michelle Riordan, a conveyancing executive has joined Eaton Smith’s residential property team where she deals with all types of residential property matters including unregistered titles, sales, purchases, leasehold/freehold titles, re-mortgages and transfer of equity transactions.

James Mohammed AllsopALLSOP has hired James Mohammed, who joins as an associate in the residential investment and development team in Leeds, where he will advise on the sale, acquisition and consultancy of development opportunities in the Midlands and the North of England.

He joins from the land and development department at Dacres Commercial, where he advised public sector and private landowners, national house builders, local developers and charities. Notable clients include Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust, South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Yorkshire Ambulance Service, Yorkshire Building Society, Persimmon and Barratt Homes.

Mr Mohammed has previously held positions Colliers International and Town Centre Securities.

Ridley and Hall Solicitors Ashley DixonRidley & Hall Solicitors has boosted its residential property team with the appointment of solicitor Ashley Dixon.

Head of property Alison Mason said: “Our residential property department is extremely busy and the addition of Ashley’s expertise will help us meet the increased demand and continue the expansion of the team.”

Ms Dixon’s work has involved all aspects of residential property, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages and transfers of equity.
