Housebuilder Keepmoat launches newest office

ONE of the UK’s largest housebuilders has opened a Nottingham office.

Keepmoat is set to move into a 10,000 sq ft premises on Wilson Bowden’s Nottingham Business Park in a deal brokered by JLL’s Ravinder Cheema.

Keepmoat regional director, Andy Mason, said: “We’re thrilled with our new Nottingham location which we feel will enhance Keepmoat’s operations across the area as we look to expand and bring more high quality homes to the region.”

“We have just announced the completion of our 3,000th home across the Midlands in six years and with new homes already being built in areas such as Nottingham, Shirebrook, Coalville, Gedling, Tibshelf and Northampton, the East Midlands is a key area of expansion with the combined Midlands business looking to build 1,000 homes a year by 2019.”

Cheema added: “We were able to utilise other specialist teams within JLL to assist where required, ensuring a smooth and successful transition in to the building. However, one of the challenges of the acquisition was identifying high quality Grade A space.

“A lack of any new build continues to be a challenge in the city centre and there is no sign of significant new space coming forward in the short term. We would expect future lettings to be dominated by refurbs or out-of-town deals, and because supply is so tight, each deal will put further upward pressure on rents.”

Doncaster-based Keepmoat generated £1.1bn revenue in its last financial year.
