Raft of promotions at Leeds law firm

NINE people have been promoted at law firm Addleshaw Goddard’s Leeds office.

Three have been promoted to legal director level, with the remaining six hired in managing associate roles, all of which are effective from 1 September.

Joe Maitland from the real estate team has been promoted two years after being made managing associate, whilst Sara Gilmore from infrastructure, projects and energy; and Gary Grigor from Banking have also been promoted to legal director.

Meanwhile, Steve Walpole and Sam Hollingworth from litigation; Stephanie Kosaka, Amanda Davis, Chris McGrath and Elizabeth Cape from real estate have all been promoted to Managing Associate.

Tim Wheldon, head of Leeds office at AG, said “It is great to be able to recognise the commitment and success of this group of nine by promotion to their new positions. I have worked with most of them on one or more occasions and they exemplify the qualities we seek to nurture in our business as we continue to invest in our Leeds office with new buildings, IT and people”

The news comes as Addleshaw Goddard’s move to its new-build Sovereign Square offices looms.

Earlier this year the firm announced the promotion of Nick Barlow, Simon Lofthouse, Georgina Powling and Sally Hulston to partner.
