Manufacturer on a roll with latest acquisition

A YORK paper roll manufacturer has acquired a complementary business.

Tayrol has acquired Cambridgeshire-based Allrol Solutions for an undisclosed sum with the help of accountants at garbutt + Elliott.

Allrol has been trading for 12 years and operates nationwide.

Formed in 1988, Tayrol manufactures small paper rolls, mainly for use in credit card terminals and cash register and EPOS machines.

It says it is the UK’s only manufacturer of digital tachograph rolls for the transport industry which it sells under its own brand name, Tacho2.

Keith Taylor, director of Tayrol, commented: “We are delighted to bring Allrol into the fold as it means both companies can pool their resources and deliver to a wider customer base. Part of this is that Allrol will be able to supply rolls manufactured by Tayrol and bring some production back into the UK.”

Garbutt + Elliott was also able to advise Tayrol on steps to take to enable the seamless integration of Allrol following the acquisition.

Tariq Javaid, corporate finance director at Garbutt + Elliott said, “We were very happy to assist Tayrol in growing its business, whilst also giving it the necessary tools to merge both companies in the future. Accurate corporate finance advice is very important when organisations look to make business moves of this type and I’m glad Tayrol has been able to meet its growth objectives with this acquisition.”
