Yorkshire developer pushes ahead with third London scheme

LEEDS-based Oakapple Group is continuing to make a name for itself in London following the exchange of contracts on a site in Southall, following hot on the heels of the completion of the first phase of its £20m Clapham development.

The company will be submitting a planning application to develop 35 apartments alongside a new community facility on the land.

The project is Oakapple Group’s third London scheme following two developments on the Clapham site. The first was a 10,000 sq ft grade A office complex which was pre-let to global lift and escalator company Kone.

Group chairman of Oakapple Group, Philip Taylor, said: “Improvements to the rail infrastructure in the area Southall have made Southall one of the key areas for development.

“It is already a lively and diverse community which will benefit from our proposed scheme.”
