Yorkshire headquartered architects’ London office delivers debut scheme

THE London office of Wakefield headquartered architects The Harris Partnership (THP) launched seven months ago has delivered its first major scheme.

THP London has secured planning consent for the refurbishment of Brookfield Shopping Park near Cheshunt, Greater London, one of the UK’s top performing retail parks.

Designed by The Harris Partnership for owners J.P. Morgan, plans for the 125,000 sq ft park allow for increasing the glazing area across the retail frontage with new feature canopy, louvered signage zone and timber soffit.

The scheme will also increase the mezzanine cover throughout the park and deliver a major extension to the northern terrace taking the overall park area to over 150,000sq ft.

“Opening a city centre London office was a strategic business decision to provide the business with a physical service presence adjacent to our national fund and retail clients,” says group managing director Mike Schorah.

“We are delighted to be off the mark so quickly with Brookfield and we have a number of pipeline schemes including one that may be an absolute game changer for this firm.”

The London office expands the firm’s national network to five locations including Wakefield, Manchester, Milton Keynes and Reading.
