People: Two key partner appointments at law firm; Manager hire for healthcare company; and more

Taylor&Emmet is expanding the legal services it offers to commercial land and property owners in Sheffield and North Derbyshire with two partner appointments.

The firm is welcoming Alastair Reid and George Thomson to its Sheffield and Bakewell offices respectively.

Mr Reid, joins Taylor&Emmet from Hill Dickinson, where he was head of the Sheffield office, before moving to Manchester following the firm’s restructuring in 2014. He handles all types of matters, from development work to social housing.

Mr Thomson will be bringing his broad skill set to Taylor&Emmet’s Bakewell office and will be responsible for developing the firm’s services among rural clients and local businesses. Having worked previously as a director of BRM Solicitors in Chesterfield, he has a wealth of expertise, particularly in agricultural matters and commercial leases for the retail and industrial sectors.

Alistair Wheatley, the new UK Business Manager at JRI OrthopaedicsHEALTHCARE company JRI Orthopaedics has welcomed on board a UK business manager.

Alistair Wheatley brings a wealth of experience in the medical devices and orthopaedic sector, having worked for most of his career in senior sales positions in UK-based healthcare organisations.

He was previously UK sales director for Biomet and then Zimmer Biomet which followed 10 years with Exactech, helping to build the UK business including several major product launches.

In joining JRI Orthopaedics, he is returning to his Sheffield roots.

“This is a brilliant opportunity to help drive a British company to greatness,” he said.

“JRI Orthopaedics has a fantastic history which I am very keen to build on. The company has never quite realized its full potential but I can see phenomenal possibilities for future development and growth.”

ITI Network Services David WalkerTELECOMS, wireless and infrastructure specialist ITI Network Services has taken on telecoms specialist David Walker as a director to drive growth.
 
Mr Walker has over 25 years of experience within the telecoms market including senior roles within BT Group, O2 UK and Kcom.

Jason Denmark, managing director of Sheffield-based ITI Network Services, said: “David will add a significant commercial and operational advantage to the group’s strategic plans. He will assist the board in a number of areas in which ITI are looking to grow, especially within the public sector, in which we already have a successful track record of project delivery.”

Ashley Munroe and Andy Green Dymanics Networks GroupLEEDS IT, networks and automation firm Dynamic Networks Group has added two senior sales people to its fast-growing team.

Networks specialist Ashley Munroe and IT systems and security expert Andy Green have joined the business to drive sales for its networks and IT divisions.

Mr Green brings a wealth of IT knowledge and sales expertise to the group, gained over 20 years working in the industry with full service IT firms as well as specialist cyber-security service providers. His experience ranges from enterprise IT to supporting SMEs with managed IT services, and he will head IT sales at Dynamic, working with technical director Steve Sutcliffe and the IT support team.

Mr Munroe joins the group following 15 years in the network cabling, electrical and construction industries. His experience spans the installation of structured cabling systems through to the costing and delivery of large-scale construction projects, and he will head sales for Dynamic’s network cabling division.

Group manging director James Baird said: “We’ve had a fantastic year, and these two new appointments will help us take the business to the next level through 2017.  Ashley’s extensive experience of delivering student accommodation projects in particular will be a real asset to the group, as will Andy’s cyber-security training and policy development expertise.  I’m very happy to have them on board, and look forward to exciting times ahead.”
