People: Expansion for business communications specialist; Double hire for IT firm; and more

WAKEFIELD-based business communications specialist NGC Networks has added three staff to its team.

Andrew Linley joins as commercial manager, Lisa Hepple as technical services co-ordinator and Adam Barraclough as technical services engineer.

All three previously worked for ETS Communications.

NGC Networks director Nikki Guest said: “We have strengthened the NGC team with these appointments to support our continued business growth and enhance our customer service function for clients. All three appointments add valuable expertise and knowledge to the NGC business.”

SHEFFIELD tech firm Azzure IT has expanded with the addition of Maurice Deegan, who will manage new business sales, and Eliot Damon, who will act as marketing manager.

Mr Deegan brings 10 years’ experience of selling niche software systems, including SAGE and Microsoft products to various sectors including manufacturing, distribution and professional service companies.

Mr Damon brings a wealth of experience in marketing, working both with clients and agencies, for brands such as HP, BT, Capita and Experian.

Chris Griffin Futures recruitmentLEEDS recruitment company Futures.co.uk has made two promotions within its specialist manufacturing division as part of the firm’s ongoing expansion plans.

Chris Griffin is now the divisional recruitment manager for the firm’s 12-strong manufacturing team, known as Manufacturing Futures, and predominantly recruits directors, managers and engineers across all areas of the manufacturing industry.  He takes over the role from David Christie, who is planning to retire next year.

Mark Johnson has also been promoted to head up recently formed division Food & Drink Futures, which specialises in senior interim and permanent recruitment for global food and drink manufacturers.  Areas the team recruit into include management, operations, engineering, sales, technical, marketing and project management.

Managing director Tom Liptrot said: “Our manufacturing experience has always been a big part of our success and creating a dedicated team to service the food and drink sector is a natural expansion for us. 

“Following on from this restructure, we’re now looking to embark on another expansion programme and further grow our team of recruitment consultants who work across both the public and private sectors.”

This summer, the company acquired a 5,300 sq ft purpose built head office building, as part of an £850,000 investment, on Horsforth’s New Street. 

The company, which employs a 41 strong team across its three offices in Leeds, Manchester and London, recently delivered a 68% increase in turnover to £10.6m.
