Regional law firm launches latest office

LAW firm Andrew Jackson has expanded with the opening of its latest office in Scarborough.

Father and son team Michael and Christopher Harrison, formerly of MJ Harrison Solicitors, join Andrew Jackson to lead Andrew Jackson’s operations in the town.

It last opened its York office in December 2013 and now has four offices across Lincolnshire and Yorkshire including Grimsby and Hull.

Michael Harrison said: “Having lived and worked in Scarborough for the majority of our respective careers, Christopher and I are delighted to be able to offer an enhanced service to our clients in this wonderful part of the world. We are so excited by the prospect of what lies ahead; not only for ourselves but also for our existing and future clients.”

Christopher Harrison added: “Joining a well-established, large regional firm with national and international focus will enable us, as part of Andrew Jackson, to bring a wider breadth of expertise, and a new level of focus and customer service to the local market we know so well.”

Mark Pearson-Kendall, managing partner of Andrew Jackson, said: “Michael and Christopher’s client focussed approach to the delivery of legal services is a perfect fit for the firm, so we are delighted to announce that they will be joining us.

“It’s been another exciting and successful year for Andrew Jackson, so the opening of our Scarborough office seems the perfect way to end 2016 and build on this success next year.”

This year the firm has been successful in a number of prominent cases including winning a High Court judgement for India-based coke producers and aiding in the acquisition of Penman Engineering, an armed vehicle manufacturer by Hull firm Martin Williams, saving it from administration.
