CREDIT reference and data management company Callcredit has recommitted to Leeds and West Yorkshire, signing a 10-year lease on its headquarters.

Callcredit will remain at One Park Lane for the foreseeable future having moved in on 2002.

Back then the group occupied a single floor but after a decade of continuous growth, it now occupies all six floors and is the sole tenant of the landmark building.

With plans to invest further in the location and its facilities, the building houses more than 750 of the Callcredit’s 1,000-strong workforce.

The group has nine offices across the world, including locations in Lithuania, Spain, China and Dubai.

Mike Gordon, chief executive, Callcredit Information Group, said: “West Yorkshire has been the home of the Group’s headquarters since its inception in 2000. When we moved to Leeds in 2002 it was as a reflection of the ambitions the company continues to have.

“As a fast-growing business, we benefit from the significant knowledge and skills amongst the workforce in the region as well as managing to attract new talent from outside the area to move and base themselves here. Leeds is a growing city with a thriving financial services, professional and technical skills economy that continues to provide many great opportunities for us.”

A team from Squire Patton Boggs, led by real estate partner, Karen French, provided legal advice to Callcredit during the transaction. Richard Clark, partner, lease advisory, and Sarah Hodgson, partner, property asset management, from agents Knight Frank acted for Callcredit. Savills acted for Credit Suisse, the owner of the building.
