Metalworkers grow to £1.9m turnover following laser investment

SHEET metalwork manufacturer Malton Laser has grown revenues 25% to £1.9m.

The business recently invested in a ‘revolutionary’ laser cutting machine which has tripled production outputs, which is the reason for the impressive growth said the business.

Malton Laser is planning on growing another 25% in revenues in the coming year.

The company, based in Malton, North Yorkshire was founded in 2000 by engineer Charles Corner.

It offers a complete sheet metalwork service, including laser cutting, metal pressing, fabrication and powder coating, and has become renowned for its unrivalled levels of quality, precision and service.

Charles Corner, managing director of Malton Laser, said: “To have grown by more than a quarter in the last 12 months is a really great achievement for the company, and is partly thanks to the investment in innovative laser cutting technology, which has increased production by up to 100% when compared to a CO2 laser.

“The majority of our customers come to us via word-of-mouth or our website. We decided to undertake a complete rebrand to ensure our brand is consistent across all our platforms and reflects the level of professionalism and quality we guarantee across the business.

“The next 12 months are set to be very exciting at Malton Laser – we already have a number of high-profile projects in the pipeline – and I look forward to driving the business onward with the team to improve upon what has been a brilliant year.”
