Global business expands at West Yorkshire industrial park

GLOBAL technology distributor Exertis UK has taken on another 15,000 sq ft at Lowfields Industrial Estate in Elland.

The company already occupies another 38,000 sq ft warehouse at the site, which is owned by Citivale and investment fund managers TH Real Estate.

Knight Frank completed the letting at £5.50 per sq ft on a 5-year term.

Tom Lamb of Knight Frank’s Leeds office, explained: “This is a great deal, underlining how well Exertis are doing and how much they value being at Lowfields. It is also excellent news for the Calderdale economy, underlining the popularity of one of its most popular industrial parks.

“Lowfields is a tremendous success story. The rents are holding up exceptionally well in comparison to other industrial estates in West Yorkshire, underlining the exceptional quality of the units on site. It also helps that Lowfields is superbly located just off Junction 24 of the M62.

“Consequently it benefits from the immediate links to the motorway network. It is also very well-placed for both Leeds and Manchester and has excellent access to both the East and West Coast ports,” said Mr Lamb.

Tim Holmes, commercial manager of Exertis, commented: “Exertis Supplies is a distributor to the office products industry across the UK. Having been on Lowfields for many years we saw the opportunity two years ago to expand our business into new areas.

“This adjacent unit has given us the opportunity to continue grow and expand over the coming years. Knight Frank and Citivale worked with us to meet our objectives and allowed us to make alterations that will help us adapt the unit for our needs,” he added.
