Spring is in the air for JZ Flowers with £10m revenue hike
EAST YORKSHIRE flower company JZ Flowers is celebrating increasing revenues by £10m.
The company, whose headquarters are in Newport East Yorkshire, also has operations in Lincolnshire and Ireland.
It turned over £95m in the year to 31 December 2015, up from £86m the year before.
Pre-tax profits increased to £7.6m from £6.0m the year before.
Successful advertising campaign, a focus on specialisms and variety has helped grow the company, which says it delivers 450m stems a year.
Last year the company invested in a major expansion, adding 135,000 sq ft to its HQ.
Founded in 1997, the company’s founder Jelle Zwemstra had had developed a career bringing flowers and plants across from Holland’s famous flower markets to sell to florists in Yorkshire.
