Traffic Alert: Serious collision causes A59 closure

THE A59 between Harrogate and Skipton is closed after two vehicles were involved in a serious collision.

It happened at around 11.20am, at the crossroads with the B6451, near Menwith Hill.

One woman was seriously injured.

Police, ambulance and fire crews are currently on the scene.

Drivers are being advised to avoid the area.
