Construction firm appointed to multi-million pound Sheffield resi scheme

The Yorkshire office of Bardsley Construction is delivering a £6.2m student accommodation development in Sheffield.

The £50m turnover family-owned firm is constructing the six-storey block at Hannah Court, Matilda Street, in Sheffield on behalf of Venture Property Group.

On completion in August, Hannah Court will offer 103 ensuite studio apartments, offices, a management suite and residents’ communal hub.

Alongside Bardsley on the project team are WCEC Architects, Curtins Engineers, mechanical and electrical specialist Futureserv and cost and project manager Abacus.

Rick Smeaton, Bardsley’s regional manager in Yorkshire, said: “Hannah Court represents our latest major development in south Yorkshire and provides us with an ideal opportunity to enhance our well-earned reputation for the delivery of high quality residential sector, adding to our portfolio of construction projects in Yorkshire, the North of England and the Midlands.”
