Redundancies at Leeds electrical engineering business

A Leeds electrical business is set to be liquidated leaving 11 staff redundant.

Established in 2014, Fox Electrical provides electrical installation services. It experienced cash flow problems due to the non-payment of disputed debts, making it unviable to continue trading.

A meeting of the creditors of Pudsey-based Fox Electrical Engineers will take place on February 1.

There, creditors will discuss the proposed liquidation of the business under the direction of Julian Pitts and Nick Reed of business advisers Begbies Traynor in Leeds.

Shareholders will vote on whether to go ahead with a Creditors Voluntary Liquidation.

Liquidators will then look to recover revenue for the creditors through an asset sale of its vehicles and remaining electrical supplies.

The company’s staff have already been made redundant.
