Schools out as technology businesses complete merger

Hull technology business PrimaryTec has completed a merger with Tech4Schools.

The company, which delivers computer support for schools around the Hull and Humber region, will operate under the PrimaryTec.

PrimaryTec was established in 2008 and since then has increased staff five times over, and seen a near 2000% increase in revenue.

Tech4Schools built a platform for teachers and ICT specialists to access information and training on the latest developments and technology available to schools making it a natural fit alongside PrimaryTec’s expertise in installation. PrimaryTec are now in a solid position to offer all educational facilities a very broad spectrum of services, backed up with knowledge, skills and experience.

Mike Corlyon, technical director at PrimaryTec said: “It was something that made complete sense; given the nature of the two existing businesses, their expertise, and the way in which we are delivering ICT now and in the future.”

“We’ve always afforded the opportunity to both explain, and provide technology within the education sector, bridging that gap between the need for information, and providing the right package by offering simple and flexible solutions. We install useful technologies whilst providing the training, ongoing support and the continuing development. Everyone becomes more knowledgeable and confident with the use of their ICT – it’s a win-win!”
