People: Senior hires for development firm; New recruit for online retail specialist; and more

York development firm S Harrison has appointed Neil Creeney as development executive and Andrew Wharton as project delivery manager.

Creeney joins from property and investment firm Opus Land North and has over 20 years’ experience in property development and acquisition.  During his career so far he has successfully acquired and managed the development of a range of high-profile mixed-use development projects across the country.  He was also responsible for acquiring more than 30 restaurants for McDonalds in a previous role as a senior retail estate surveyor.  

Wharton joins S Harrison from construction consultant Rex Procter & Partners.

He is a chartered quantity surveyor and brings with him a wealth of procurement, contract and cost consultancy knowledge across most sectors, gained from over 23 years’ post qualification experience for London and Leeds-based consultants.

He has been client lead on many notable hotel, residential, retail and office developments, including West Offices, headquarters of the City of York Council.

Summit has hired Kristina Kalpokaite as head of paid media. Online retailing specialist Summit has hired Kristina Kalpokaite as head of paid media.

Kalpokaite has an extensive record in leading paid media, both client and agency side, managing and training integrated biddable media teams and leading large portfolio accounts to drive revenue growth.

Her most recent position was at RS Components acting as the digital consultant, managing technology set up, team training and digital account portfolio management. Previous positions include a number of large media network as well as specialist boutique agencies.

The appointment is part of a significant growth period for Hull-based Summit, following its acquisition by TCC in 2016.

We Are Boutique hiresMedia communications agency We Are Boutique has announced two appointments in its Leeds office.

Jess Healy joins the SEO team and will focus her activity on content for Boutique and its clients. She joins from a luxury home furnishings company.

Leeds-based Boutique has also appointed Helen Newman to oversee the front desk and take on all administrative duties for the agency.
