Former CEO of collapsed Coolpink signs with Ink

The founder and former CEO of Coolpink, the creative and digital marketing agency which collapsed in 2014, has landed a new role at INK Digital.

Mark Bower is the new client services director at the agency’s Halifax studio.

Bower has been appointed on a full-time, permanent basis following his summer stint working as a consultant for the agency.

He said: “Having spent three years post-Coolpink undertaking a wide range of different freelance and consultancy roles, I had the chance to see a lot of different businesses and to also think about what was really important to me, what I’m good at and what I enjoy doing.

“I’m delighted to bring my 20 years’ experience to INK and help grow the agency, and to do so in a really great, creatively-focused environment with nice people.”

Helen Darlington, founder and group head of creative strategy at INK, added:  “Mark’s back at his desk as a fully-fledged INK-er and a big part of our leadership team. We’re in full swing working on more developments for our agency. 2017 is set to be a blinking big year.”

Coolpink’s demise just before Christmas three years ago was linked to its biggest client, furniture retailer DFS, moving all its work away from the agency and in house.

The business, which employed around 12 staff and was established for more than a decade, was then acquired by Blue Logic Digital the following February.
