KATHRYN Moore is leaving TheBusinessDesk.com to take up a senior communications role in a Government department.

Moore, who joined the Yorkshire-based internet start-up in February this year from the Yorkshire Post, has been appointed as an external communications officer in the Department for Schools, Children and Families under Secretary of State and Yorkshire MP Ed Balls.
