Tony Brown to head up NatWest’s retail banking op

NATWEST has appointed Tony Brown as managing director of retail banking across the North of England.

In his new role, Mr Brown, who lives in Yorkshire, assumes responsibility for all of NatWest’s retail and personal banking operations in the North.

This involves the management of more than 3,000 staff and 380 branches. He is based at NatWest’s North region headquarters in Spinningfields, Manchester.

Mr Brown was previously director of strategy and transformation for The Royal Bank of Scotland’s retail division. He brings 26 years banking and financial services experience to the role.

Originally from York, he lives in Selby, North Yorkshire, with his wife and two grown up children.

Mr Brown said: “The bank has a presence in almost 400 different locations across the North and my main goal is to deliver a helpful banking experience for all our customers.”
