Andy Thornton secures £1m contracts

SHOPFITTER and hospitality furnishings supplier Andy Thornton has secured more than £1m of new orders in the last two weeks.
The orders for the Elland-based firm include a contract to supply a traditional pub interior for a microbrewery in Oslo, Norway, in a contract worth £270,000.
Andy Thornton has also been appointed to refurbish an Edwardian-style house in Baden-Baden, Germany in a deal that will earn the company £360,000.
Contracts director Chris Wilcock said: “We are delighted to have secured these major projects in such difficult and challenging times.
“What is equally pleasing is that we have a good enquiry level with a number of interesting and substantial projects in Russia, Scandinavia and India from existing customers, which have enormous potential.”
Andy Thornton’s recent work includes designing and installing the interior for the new Epernay champagne bar at Manchester Airport run by Leeds-based Thornton Inns.
It is are currently on site in Dubai installing the £400,000 interior of the Nell Gwynne pub and restaurant and manufacturing a period-style mahogany bar and seating for a traditional English pub in Franklin, in the United States.
