Business Development Director

Sarah joined Barclays as Business Development Director in January 2006 from RBS in London, with particular focus on working alongside sector focused Relationship Directors based in both Leeds and Newcastle to attract new business to Barclays. She also works on developing Barclays Technology & Telecoms portfolio across the North of England. Sarah is AMCT qualified and brings with her 10 years of banking experience in the City. This included two and a half years in the investment banking world with Toronto Dominion Bank transacting €6.5 billion of European leveraged syndicated debt and high yield bond issues to large Technology & Telecoms clients, such as Telewest, UPC, Sky, Kingston, Thus and Cabovisao. As a corporate banker at RBS, Sarah was a Relationship Director with a Business Services & Technology portfolio, before holding a pure Business Development role. Sarah initially started her career at NatWest. Sarah holds a first class degree in Geography from Jesus College, Oxford and won an Economic and Social Research Council Scholarship to study for a Masters Degree in International Relations and Global Political Economy at Sussex University where she was awarded a Distinction.
