Vote of confidence in housing market

CONFIDENCE levels in Yorkshire's property market will rise in 2008, according to a leading housebuilder.
Paul Oldridge, managing director of McInerney Homes Yorkshire, said buyers should "avoid sweeping national statements" about the short-term housing market.
Mr Oldridge advised house hunters to do their property research locally on a location-for-location basis and said confidence in the sector would be further lifted if the two predicted interest rate cuts forecast by analysts come to fruition this year.
