COMMERCIAL - one of the largest commercial teams outside the City of London which has acted on over £4billion worth of transactions in the last 18 months. Working for both the public and private sectors, the work the Group undertakes includes: intellectual property matters; mainstream private sector commercial contracting; and public sector project and procurement work. The Group has substantial "in-house" experience with many of our lawyers coming from or having secondments with in-house public and private sector teams.

CORPORATE - with 13 partners many of whom are nationally recognised for their expertise as advisers and dealmakers in their own right. It includes specialist teams dealing with all aspects of corporate and commercial work and is supported by our impressive banking, insolvency and commercial teams. The corporate team is equipped to advise on all aspects of corporate law and regulation affecting private equity providers, management teams, public and private companies and their respective advisers, from corporate governance and compliance issues to M&A, IPOs, MBOs, MBIs, fund raisings and takeover bids.

LITIGATION - In addition to the litigation undertaken by the employment, construction and insolvency teams, Walker Morris also has vast experience in the fields of commercial dispute resolution and property litigation. Acting for many corporate clients (both public and private) and institutional clients, they regularly handle high profile and sensitive disputes, including claims arising out of corporate/business acquisitions and disposals, commercial contracts, partnerships and shareholder arrangements.

PROPERTY - a full commercial property service ranging from specific property related transactions to the property issues of other commercial transactions. The Department's client list and the quality, range and value of the work undertaken is impressive and the Department's 38 lawyers and partners make it one of the strongest specialist property departments in the country.
