A YORKSHIRE hairdressing group is celebrating 25 years in the region with a charity promotion which will see it give away haircuts all day at each of its seven regional salons.
Following the effort, the company will also be making a donation to its chosen charity, children’s hospice Martin House.
Staff at Westrow will be cutting hair for free on February 12 in time for Valentine’s Day.
Westrow’s ‘Love Your Hair’ campaign will give away 400 free haircuts, worth more than £20,000, to men and women across its seven Yorkshire salons.
Members of the public can register for a free haircut at any one of the company’s salons in Harrogate, Ilkley, West Park, Wetherby, York, or its two Leeds city centre locations.
Established in the mid-eighties by Marc Westerman and Steve Rowbottom, Westrow has grown to become one of the North’s most prestigious hairdressers.
Co-Owner Mr Rowbottom said: “We came into the industry as we loved cutting hair and seeing the pleasure it gave our customers. Twenty-five years on and we still love hair and love what we’re doing, which is why we’re still cutting and styling and not behind the scenes.
“We’ve come a long way since we took out a bank loan back in the mid-eighties to buy a single hairdresser’s chair and we felt it was time to give a little back to the community as well as the customers we have served over the years.
“We’re making a donation to our charity Martin House, and as a big thank you to everyone else we’re giving away free haircuts at every one of our salons - in total, that’s over £20,000-worth of free haircuts, and 400 early Valentine’s Day treats for the winners.”
To have a free haircut call into one of Westrow’s salons before January 29 for details or visit www.westrow-hair.com.
