The aim of the Yorkshire International Business Convention is two-fold: to provide business leaders in the region with inspirational speakers who will in turn inspire as well as entertain the delegates; and to provide an environment and culture designed to encourage networking and doing business deals.

In its opening year the keynote speech was delivered by former American Secretary of State Dr Henry Kissinger and since then the Yorkshire delegates have heard from world leaders like former US Presidents George Bush Senior and Bill Clinton, Mikhail Gorbachev, Hans Blix and Archbishop Desmond Tutu as well as celebrities like Astronaut Neil Armstrong, Sir Bob Geldof, Sir John Mills and Rory Bremner.
