Business Growth Breakfast ‘How to Price your Platypus’ to be held
David Abbott, international speaker and part-time marketing director with The Marketing Centre, will be speaking to delegates at the Sheffield Business Growth Breakfast about simple ways to improve pricing.
‘How To Price Your Platypus’ is designed to help people find ways to increase price.
Abbot said: “Why a platypus? Well, if you had a platypus, what price would you decide to sell it for? You can’t look up other platypus sellers on Google to find a typical price, they don’t exist.
“Most businesses have a platypus of their own, a pricing challenge that they would love to find a solution for.”
The workshop starts with a review of some simple tools that can be used to help delegates decide what their pricing potential is. Abbott added: “But that’s only half the story. Once you have decided what to charge, how do you communicate those prices successfully? That’s where the psychology comes in.”
As a practical workshop, it is designed to help those who have developed a new product or service, are under pricing pressure, or are struggling with knowing what to charge.
It will help them to get to grips with the science and psychology of pricing. Attendees will gain an understanding of customer psychology which will help them decide what their pricing potential is.
