Callcredit raises £20,000 for Alzheimer’s Society

Callcredit, the consumer data specialist, has raised over £20,000 for Alzheimer’s Society, which was chosen by the growing business as its Charity of the Year in 2017.

The comprehensive programme of activity included events at its headquarters in Leeds and its offices across the UK, with over 1,000 colleagues helping to raise funds and awareness for the charity; with sponsored challenges, pop-up shops, sky dives and more. The year ended on a high with a grand raffle in December for tickets to the forthcoming Los Angeles premiere of superhero movie Dead Pool 2, starring Ryan Reynolds.

Sarah Shaw, Corporate Responsibility Consultant at Callcredit said that she was proud of the support from colleagues throughout the business and added: “We chose Alzheimer’s Society as our Charity of the Year 2017 following a colleague vote, and we’re delighted that the partnership has been so successful. As well as raising essential funds for the vital research the charity undertakes, many of our colleagues also took part in training to become ‘Dementia Friends’, to support people living with dementia, so it’s wonderful to know there will be a lasting impact.”

Rosie Mellor-Silvester, Senior Regional Corporate Partnership Executive for Alzheimer’s Society in Yorkshire and the North East said: “We are extremely grateful to everyone at Callcredit for all the time and energy they put into raising money and awareness for Alzheimer’s Society.  As a charity, we rely on the generosity of organisations like Callcredit to help us support people to live well with dementia today and fund research to find a cure for tomorrow.”
