US business leaders to give insights to Yorkshire firms at ‘peer to peer’ export event
Businesses in the Yorkshire region will have the opportunity to meet delegates from a Rhode Island trade mission and gain insights on the New England market from Rhode Island trade officials and senior American business leaders.
As well as meeting and getting first hand advice and tips on trading with the US delegates will also hear from State trade officials about the opportunities for UK firms to do business in New England and the State of Rhode Island.
The Rhode Island commerce team will offer an overview of the state’s burgeoning technology, innovation, advanced manufacturing, medical, digital and renewables sectors. They will also outline the opportunities for UK firms to fast track entry on the East Coast of the US which is considered to be one of the region’s most accessible and lowest cost locations.
Held at the Leeds office of international law firm Womble Bond Dickinson, the free breakfast seminar is the latest in a series of events organised by ExportExchange to bring together fledgling exporters with their more experienced peers.

An open panel discussion with CEOs and directors from five US businesses hosted by Yorkshire business editor David Parkin, will offer peer to peer advice on business culture, the pitfalls of international trade with US firms, and the opportunity to grow your US network.
The event will conclude with open networking and the opportunity to meet state trade officials and business leaders.
