Ticketing company Gigantic is marking a successful decade in business with a celebratory live music event featuring Nottingham homegrown band Kagoule, with more acts to be announced.

Nottingham trio Kagoule will be performing tracks from their debut album, ‘Urth’, as well as their forthcoming album, at the event in May. The Angel Microbrewery is also creating a special Gigantic beer for the occasion.

Coming hot on the heels of being announced as a finalist for the coveted Ticketing Company of the Year at the Music Week awards, 2017 will also see Gigantic celebrating record ticket sales with a revenue increase of 24 percent year on year and the busiest January ever in its 10-year history.

Gigantic founder, Mark Gasson said: “As a Nottingham based company with a significant national reach, we like to do our bit to support the local music scene so it seems right to feature an established homegrown band at our own milestone event.

“The ticketing landscape has changed dramatically since we set up. In the face of fast paced technological change, we’ve gone from manually printing hundreds of tickets each week to now sending e-tickets to customers for events that have become completely paperless.

“I’m proud that Gigantic remains a strong, ethical operator within the competitive ticketing sector and look forward to marking this achievement with our loyal friends, clients and customers.”

Since its launch in 2007, Gigantic has worked with major event promoters Live Nation, Kilimanjaro and DHP Family as well as offering a complete ticketing solution to key festivals such as Tramlines. Within the region, the Lace Market based company provides box office systems for DHP Family venues including Rock City and Rescue Rooms.

Gigantic is also the lead ticketing agent for Dinosaurs of China at Wollaton Hall, Southwell Folk Festival and Hockley Hustle.

Tickets are on sale from Friday 24 February 2017 for ‘Gigantic10’ on May 5 at The Angel and are priced at £5 each.
