M1 to close overnight in Leicestershire
Motorists are being reminded that a section of the northbound M1 will be closed for one night this week for essential maintenance.
The Highways Agency is carrying out work on northbound carriageway of the M1 between Junction 21 near Enderby, and Junction 22 near Markfield.
That stretch of the motorway’s northbound carriageway will be closed to traffic overnight from 10pm on Wednesday, July 5, to approximately 5.30am on Thursday, July 6.
A diversion will take traffic north onto the A563 Leicester outer ring road, and then northwest onto the A50 before returning to the M1 at Junction 22.
