Haulage firm expands after swooping for nine-acre site

A Nottinghamshire haulage company has bought a site adjacent to its existing headquarters, following funding from Barclays.

B Taylor and Sons Transport has purchased the nine acre site in Huthwaite.

The site will be upgraded and used for both third party warehousing and vehicle parking.

The business was established in 1974 and together with Taylors Transport International, employs over 200 staff.

Alan Taylor, managing director at B Taylor and Sons Transport Limited said: “When the opportunity arose to purchase the site, it provided the scale we were looking for in an area that worked with our other eleven sites in Nottinghamshire.”

Lynn Morris, relationship director at Barclays in Nottinghamshire, said: “Alan and his team continue to grow their business and I am delighted we have been able to support them in the next phase of the development.”
