On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Andy Rudkin

Dispute resolution partner and solicitor Andy Rudkin has joined Leicester-based law firm Nelsons.

With more than 13 years of experience, Rudkin specialises in all areas of commercial and property litigation including boundary disputes and commercial contract disputes, and regularly advises on all areas of corporate and personal insolvency litigation.

Rudkin, who joins Nelsons from Burton upon Trent’s Else Solicitors, where he was a partner and head of the dispute resolution department, said: “I am thrilled to have joined Nelsons – it is a large and respected regional law firm with a national presence and a forward-thinking partnership.

“Starting a new job in the midst of a pandemic could’ve been a challenge, especially while working from home, but Nelsons has ensured its employees have all the necessary technology to enable agile and secure working – allowing us to quickly and easily engage with and service clients remotely.”

Paul Richardson

Financial services broker, Midlands Asset Finance (MAF), has recruited a new director.

Based in Ravenshead, Nottinghamshire, Paul Richardson joins MAF as sales director, Midlands region to work with his team to help businesses with their asset finance and property finance requirements.

Richardson joins from Santander where he spent over ten years, seven as a senior manager. Prior to that spent 14 years at the Royal Bank of Scotland as an area development manager.

He said: “Since starting my career in banking 28 years ago, I have always had a desire to support SME owners meet their ambitions by working with them to simplify their access to finance.

“The opportunity to join an established team like MAF allows me to use my knowledge and skills to support even more SMEs with finance options and spread the service of MAF across the business community.”
