Lincoln hospitality firm expands in the North

The Leeds nightlife scene has welcomed a new destination with Carousel and Home Nightclub on Albion Street, in The Light.

The £2.25m project has seen the venue undergo a transformation with a complete redevelopment of the space.

Founded by John O’Donoghue, both venues are established in Lincoln, with Home first opening its doors in 2011 and Carousel in 2021. The opening of the new sites in Leeds is part of the group’s  expansion plans across the UK.

Carousel, a competitive socialising and cocktail bar, promises a special entertainment experience featuring street food, creative drink menus and a variety of gaming options.

Social gaming options include Interactive Darts, Bank Shot Shuffleboard, Beer or Prosecco Pong, virtual shooting lanes, private karaoke booths and more.

A games arcade has classic machines such as Air Hockey, Basketball Hoops, Daytona Racing and Whack a Clown, giving customers a dose of nostalgia.

The 960-capacity nightclub Home is below Carousel with two club rooms.

It includes a VOID Soundsystem, multiple VIP areas and is set to host headline DJs playing the best in commercial, dance & RnB.

Home will open its doors four nights a week, including hosting headline DJs such as JLS’ Marvin Humes & Leeds’ longest running student night Antics, as well as being the new home of events such as Ultimate Rave Bingo.

O’Donoghue said: “We’re thrilled to join the thriving hospitality scene in Leeds, and to be opening two fantastic, new spaces within the city with Home Nightclub & Carousel. Both of which are set to be flagship developments within our UK expansion plans.

“We’ve been absolutely blown away by the response since announcing our opening, so it’s great to finally be able to open our doors, welcome guests in and let everyone experience our unique brand of fun and entertainment.”
