Entrepreneur launches new Nottingham tech community

A Nottingham entrepreneur has launched a new tech community aimed at “getting Nottingham moving again” and make it a “central destination for investment”.
Build in Nottingham aims to connect local tech talent, entrepreneurs, start-ups, established companies, and investors, while highlighting the region’s “unique innovation landscape and heritage”.
“Nottinghamshire has become one of the UK’s most exciting tech regions, but until now there hasn’t been a unified hub to showcase this talent and foster greater collaboration,” said Martin Sandhu, serial entrepreneur and founder of Built in Notts.
“As someone who has been involved in the local health tech scene for the past decade and has experienced its highs and lows, I am now on a mission to put Nottinghamshire firmly on the map as a technology powerhouse and create a thriving community where innovation can flourish. The goal is to bring together people together and prove that real growth is happening outside of London too.”
The platform has launched with partnerships from local technology companies including, Sandhu’s nuom, as well as support from local educational institutions.
Built in Notts will celebrate its launch with a kick-off event on the 25th of June, featuring panels with local tech leaders, networking opportunities, and demonstrations from emerging start-ups.
