BusinessWise Accountancy and Tax is a small but growing accountancy firm in Chesterfield. Having identified a growing need in the local marketplace for a business-strategy focused accountancy firm, owner Graham Nash launched the firm in 2020, with the initial objective to help turn businesses around and help them recover from the pandemic.
We provide accountancy and tax services, business strategy and financial management predominantly for engineering, property and manufacturing clients predominantly in the East Midlands area, though we do help clients of varying sizes in different sectors and at different stages, whether just starting out, or working towards an exit plan.
During the pandemic we utilised our vast experience in supporting businesses through challenging times to navigate our own route to success by sharing regular updates and free information to help other businesses work through the minefield of new legislation, restrictions, furlough, grants and loans. Our regular presence online positioned us as the go-to accountancy and tax practice for early-stage businesses as well as the more established and/or struggling business owners.
BusinessWise is committed to helping as many companies as possible, not only with their accounting responsibilities but by educating them on how to interpret their financial figures to make strategic decisions and changes in their business. We are proud to add true value to the companies we work with, one company has increased its value from £2.4m to £5.2m in 1 year.
On our journey to achieve our goal, we have experienced a 300% growth and doubled the number of clients we work with, in just 12 months. We have successfully gained market share by creating a unique service, unrivalled by any other small competing accountancy practices. We have recruited a small team who perform brilliantly in their specialist areas and who contribute to our outstanding reputation; further endorsed by our 95% client retention rate and 10/10 reviews.
We have invested in and implemented systems, processes, technology and accounting software to ensure we are operating efficiently and effectively for our clients. We have a hybrid home/office structure that is flexible and accommodating to individual staff needs, and that also enables us to recruit people from further afield as well as local young talent.
