Plans revealed for 261,000 sq ft Derbyshire warehouse

Nickel28

Joint venture partners, Richardsons Capital  and Thorngrove Land & Property have submitted a planning application for a speculative 261,000 sq ft high-bay distribution warehouse on the South Normanton Industrial Estate in Derbyshire.

Designed by AEW Architects, Nickel 28 will provide a warehouse/distribution facility and associated office accommodation.

The scheme will be on High View Road in the South Normanton Industrial Estate, which is already home to firms such as XPO Logistics, Alliance Healthcare, Synseal and Diversity.

Lee Charnley, managing director of Thorngrove Land & Property, said: “There is a very strong demand for large distribution warehouses from regional and national occupiers across the whole of the central and east Midlands region but supply is extremely limited.  Nickel 28 will provide an ideal solution to satisfy the growing number of logistics requirements along this central M1 corridor we are confident that this speculative building, close to junction 28, will attract early occupier interest.”

Cushman & Wakefield and Commercial Property Partners have been retained as the advising agents.
