Traffic alert: A1 closed in Lincolnshire after HGV collision

The A1 in Lincolnshire is closed northbound between A606 (Stamford) and B1174 (Grantham) due to a serious collision involving two HGVs. Lincolnshire Police are on scene and dealing with the incident.

A diversion is in place and traffic is advised to follow the solid circle symbol. Motorists will exit the A1 at the A606 junction for Stamford and take the first exit heading northbound to Melton Mowbray. At the junction with the A606/A607 join the A607 and travel east to re-join the A1 near Grantham.

Highways England is asking motorists to allow additional travelling time if heading towards the area.
