On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

(L-R) Rhys Partlett, Andy Heard, Brad Gallagher

Leicester-based Xibis has made three new appointments which it says will meet the increased demand for its web and mobile app solutions.

Xibis has appointed two additional developers – one to specialise in Android apps and one in iOS apps – and a third as a technical business analyst to handle increased leads from potential clients.

Andy Heard is the new iOS app developer and is working on an app for an international restaurant chain that will be rolled out onto all iOS devices.

Rhys Partlett, a recent graduate in computer science, is the new Android app developer and is currently working on an app for owners of pets on behalf of a large pet supplies retailer.

Brad Gallagher joins the team as a technical business analyst to manage enquiries from clients, establish a timeline, cost and identify opportunities to benefit customers further.

Xibis managing director, Neil Morjaria, said: “We’ve seen an increase in demand for native apps over the last 12 months. We made the decision to look for dedicated Android and iOS developers to meet this demand and to benefit our clients. Having someone dedicated to each platform will provide benefits with regards to both time and quality.”

Two members of staff at Leicestershire accountancy firm Newby Castleman are celebrating after becoming fully qualified accountants.

Wesley Savage and Richard Molloy have both received their Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualifications, after several years of studying.

Stephen Castleman, partner at Newby Castleman, said: “We are delighted for Richard and Wesley, who have excelled in their studies and worked exceptionally hard to become ACCA-qualified. Both are a pleasure to work with and we look forward to seeing them continue to develop their careers here.

We are committed to nurturing talent and pride ourselves on providing a platform for the next generation of accountancy professionals to realise their full potential.”
