Brexit uncertainty hits GF Tomlinson revenues
Historic building firm GF Tomlinson has reported that turnover for 2016 was £105m, down from £121m in 2015 with bosses blaming Brexit for the fall.
The company said it is looking forward to the next year “with confidence” and that a number of multi-million contracts across the Midlands have been secured for 2017.
A spokesperson for GF Tomlinson said: “The directors were pleased to report another successful year for the Group in 2016. Whilst turnover was affected by the Brexit uncertainty in the mid-year, all companies [in the group] produced a satisfactory result and we look forward to 2017 with confidence.”
The firm has offices in Derby and Lincoln and was formed in 1892.
