New owner at East Mids accountancy firm

TaxAssist Accountants, which is based in Shepshed and Long Eaton, has a new owner.

Carl Whitehead has taken over the offices on Field Street, Shepshed and Derby Road, Long Eaton where he has worked since 2008 and been a partner for the past six years.

Whitehead takes over following the retirement of partner, Phil Marriott.

Whithead said: “I’d like to wish Phil a long and happy retirement. Becoming the new owner of TaxAssist Accountants in the area gives our clients continuity of the high quality services they deserve while both practices grow.

“We’ve developed a reputation locally for the jargon-free advice we give to small businesses and start-ups. We’re really passionate about helping our clients achieve their goals and with the upcoming ‘Making Tax Digital’ changes on the horizon, we’re confident we can continue to offer a great service and support to the local small business community.”
