Node4 on the acquisition trail as profits rise

IT and cloud firm Node 4 has seen both revenues and profits rise for the year-ending 31 March – and says it is looking to expand through acquisition.

Turnover at the business rose just over £7m in 2016 to £9.7m this year, while profit before tax was up from £5m to £6.2m.

Node 4 has offices in Nottingham, Reading and London and data centres in Derby, Leeds and Northampton and employs 186 people. The firm has spent the last 12 months expanding its Northampton and Leeds facilities.

A statement in the firm’s latest available accounts said: “The company has plans for further expansion by acquisition. Committed further group facilities are in place from the banks to facilitate this.”

In May this year, Node 4 bought managed database services company Onomi.
