Actons' new starters with Nicky Calthrop-Owen, front centre

Actons, the Nottingham law firm, has added 14 new members of staff to its ranks during the first half of its financial year.

Since the beginning of April the firm has further strengthened its existing property, private client/wealth management, corporate and commercial, dispute resolution, employment law and personal injury teams, as well as having welcomed the latest intake of two trainee solicitors.

The firm has also added to its business support teams in marketing and reception.

During the same period, the firm also promoted members of its existing team to director, associate and one of the firms trainee intake qualified as a solicitor and joined the dispute resolution and insolvency team.

Nicky Calthrop-Owen, chairman at Actons, said: “I’m delighted to see a raft of new people joining the great team at Actons, with the majority of them in newly created roles as a result of our strategic growth plans coming to fruition.”

“We’ve also continued to nurture those within the firm – most recently we’ve promoted Caroline Bowler and June Makings, and have seen Oliver Spence qualify as a solicitor. The promotions are fully deserved and reflect our commitment to recruiting and nurturing the very best people as we continue to grow and expand the services we can offer to our clients.”
