Derbyshire recruitment specialist goes it alone

A recruitment professional is striking out on her own after setting up her own company in Heanor.

Anita Jackson is the managing director of the newly-formed Recruit 2 You, a multi-sector employment agency, who has told TheBusinessDesk.com she is already looking for more staff for her fledgling firm.

Jackson’s recruitment career began in 2012 with national training provider Babington within the apprenticeship sector. In 2016 she joined a small recruitment company in Derby and was instrumental in opening a successful sister branch for the organisation.

Jackson told us: “Following its success I was approached to open a further branch to continue the company growth. In 2018 decided the time was right to start my own venture and have taken my sector knowledge and experience to start up Recruit 2 You.

“I have always been entrepreneurial and had ambitions to work for myself, in my last employment I was always keen to become a shareholder and held several talks about buying into the company but to no avail.”

Jackson says her new business has already seen interest from employers within the area keen to seek supply from a local labour pool.

She added: “There has historically been no recruitment service offer within Heanor and so we are hopeful the partnership of local employers will be a positive one for job seekers in the local area.

“With the business acumen of my business partner, Justin Mooney, who has successfully run a multimillion pound organisation, we plan to grow the brand and open further offices throughout the UK.”

The Recruit 2 You team consists of Justin Mooney – chief executive, Anita Jackson – managing director, Jenna-Leigh Bates – recruitment consultant and Kayla-Lauryn Wetton- resourcing specialist. Jackson says she expects the firm to grow within the first six months, and is looking for new staff already.

She added: “Anyone interested in working with them should contact me direct.”
