On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Allied Irish Bank (GB) has added to its North and Midlands team with the appointment of Richard Henshaw as a healthcare relationship manager.

Henshaw previously worked at the Royal Bank of Scotland as a healthcare specialist but also has experience working as a broker and gained five years’ experience working as a care home operator.

He said: “The healthcare sector is very important to the AIB (GB) team and we have big aspirations to expand our customer base. I have worked on both sides as both a healthcare operator and finance provider and believe my sector knowledge and banking experience will add real value to our customers. I am looking forward helping healthcare operators with their growth aspirations and funding requirements.”

Andy Cocker, business centre head at AIB (GB) in Nottingham said: “Richard is a highly motivated and skilled banker with a wealth of expertise in the healthcare sector. I am delighted to welcome him to the team and to share his knowledge and experience with our customers and staff. The Nottingham team has a strong track record of success and Richard’s addition is sure to enhance our work within the healthcare sector. Richard will join his colleagues in assisting local businesses to gain access to appropriate funding and contribute to driving economic growth in the East Midlands.”

BE Design, the Newark-based multi-disciplinary architecture and engineering practice, has announced four new promotions across its technical team.

Dan Edwards, Rhys Bevins, Shawn Loo and Rafail Tsartsaris will now support the senior team directly with project design and client management whilst mentoring and developing the next generation of engineers and architects at BE Design.

“We’re a close family at BE Design – and one which supports one another and rewards hard work and dedication,” said Stephen Oakden, director at BE Design.

“Dan, Rhys, Shawn and Rafail have all worked incredibly hard to get to where they are – showing enthusiasm, passion and technical expertise across every project they’ve designed and delivered.
