We’re always on the lookout for people who are passionate about their career progression and want to join a company that offers robust training and mentoring as well as excellent financial rewards.”

Rob Harrison

Harris Lamb has appointed a principal ecologist to its recently established environment team.

Launched in February this year, the department has proved a huge success for the business, conducting surveys and offering advice to developers throughout the UK, and Rob Harrison has now been brought on board to help support its expanding client-base. He is based in the firm’s Nottingham office.

Dr Holly Smith, who leads the team, said: “We’ve had a phenomenal amount of interest in the past nine months – the response from new and existing clients to the new services we’ve been able to provide and the insight we can give to them has been fantastic.

“Rob is a former colleague of mine, and a very experienced ecologist. He has significant experience in protected and invasive species surveys, and holds licenses for a number of species, and I’m confident that his skills will ensure our team moves from strength to strength.”

“He’s also a keen fundraiser for the Dreamflight children’s charity, something that we as a business are keen to support him with as part of our own CSR activity,” she added.

Harrison said: I’m excited to start at Harris Lamb and to be working with Holly to help develop the Environment team. As a previous client, I’ve always enjoyed working with Harris Lamb as the team brings enthusiasm and energy to their projects, which makes for a fun working environment.

“This will be a great opportunity to provide in-house environment expertise which will benefit Harris Lamb directly and provide a valuable service to clients. I am looking forward to setting up new procedures and raising awareness in environmental best practice, as well as training our junior ecologists in survey techniques.”
