Yü Group appoints accountancy giants to undertake forensic review

Listed Nottingham-based energy supplier to businesses Yü Group has appointed PwC and DLA Piper to undertake a forensic review of its accounts a week after it took a £10m hit to its bottom line.

Last week, the firm said it had identified “several areas of concern” that would plunge the company from a healthy profit into the red.

A statement from Yü to the London Stock Exchange this morning said: “To support the Board with its forensic review, both PWC and DLA Piper have been appointed to carry out an independent forensic investigation.

“The Board will continue to invest in processes and systems and will take on recommendations from the Review of any measures to improve internal controls.

“The Board will provide a further update to the market in due course.”
