Lifestyle brand to create 100 Leicestershire jobs
Lifestyle brand Joules will create 100 jobs in Market Harborough after plans for a new headquarters were given the go-ahead
The company will part demolish its 30,000 sq ft Compass House, which it bought for £4.4m last summer. The building stands next to the Joules head office and, when redeveloped, will stretch to over 66,000 sq ft. Some 435 staff will work at the new HQ, which will rise to 527 by 2024.
A planning statement with the application read: “The proposed development will centralise Joules’ head office functions on to one campus, making use of both existing and new structures on the site to create a high-quality and more sustainable development.”
The news follows a decision by Joules to centralise its head office functions into one building complex. The head office is currently spread across five separate buildings located at The Point, Rockingham Road.
