Packaging firm invests £1.5m in ‘unique’ Christmas service

The Vanilla Reindeer range

A £1.5m investment by a packaging firm has led to a unique personalised packaging service launched in time for Christmas.

Kalas Packaging, the Boston, Lincolnshire-based firm, based on Haven Business Park, has invested the cash in equipment to enable it to launch a new service – Vanilla Reindeer – providing unique gifts this festive season. The company says that Vanilla Reindeer is a one-stop web-to-print service, specialising in fully-personalised products using the latest in digital print technology.

Vanilla Reindeer offers a range of 18 products all which can be fully personalised. It has kicked of its Christmas collection with a range of chocolate advent calendars which can be personalised ready for the festive countdown. Gifts also include luxury chocolates, wines and spirits with personalised packaging and messages. The designs are then manufactured and despatched from Boston across the UK.

The new venture is the brain child of Kalas directors Jonathan Padley and Matthew Evans. Padley’s son Nathan and brother Nick also work in the business.

Padley said: “Vanilla Reindeer fills a gap in the market. We wanted to offer a wide range of personalised products that combines contemporary design flair with the very latest in high tech digital print technology.

“We’ve worked hard to create a choice of colourful, appealing designs that will make any gifting occasion extra special – all you need to do is upload your images and messages on our easy-to-use interface and you can leave the rest to us.

“This is something absolutely unique, a one-of-a-kind packing design that will make any gift, whatever the occasion extra special.”
